Planned Route
This is the planned route for a 3,500 mile loop from Gral. Las Heras, Argentina, into Chile and back. In Chile the route follows the Pacific Coast north into the Atacama Desert (the driest desert on Earth) touching the cities of Valparaiso, La Serena, Copiapó, Antofagasta, Calama, and San Pedro de Atacama. The route then crosses back into Argentina through the Paso de Jama (used by the competitors of Dakar 2012 and 2013) and goes south touching the cities of Susques, Purmamarca, Jujuy, Salta, Cafayate, Catamarca, and Cordoba.
